Sonic 4: Episode 1 [Airplay/Marmalde SDK, iOS, DirectX]

Sonic 4: Episode 1 was released on Xbox Live and iPhone somewhere in 2010. Our job was to bring the game to a range of Android devices, iPad and Windows PC.

The Windows version was a rather direct port from Xbox 360. However the Android and iPad versions were to be improved over the iPhone version with as much content and features from the Xbox 360 as possible.

I was the lead developer on the conversion project and in particular responsible for rendering, asset management and initial conversion process.

Sonic 4: Episode 1 was released on Steam and Android Market on 19 January 2012.

It was one of the last games in the J2ME era to be produced. So we were able to squeeze the maximum out of the platform and devices. It turned out to be quite difficult but was also one of the prettiest mobile games of its time.

In Pac-Man Kart Rally 3D I was responsible for vehicle physics, rendering, gameplay, design and many other smaller things.

Although the schedule was very tight and the technology was in it's non-final stages I managed to deliver the prototype in time for the show. It was later improved and expanded to create the current WP7 Le Figaro application.

Worksnug [Airplay/Marmalade SDK]

The app has an augmented reality view that shows markers pointing to nearest points of interest, Google/Ovi maps integration, noise measuring tool and and other useful features.

Although originally made for iOS only, we rewrote the whole application using Marmalade SDK to easily support as well as Android and Symbian devices.
