My favorite games
This obviously is not a comprehensive list, but these games are the ones I remember the most and inspire me in my work.
Doom
One of the first games I ever played. I still remember being amazed by graphics back in 1993 and beeing scared by the Pinky Demons and other monsters. With the time the game and the series have evolved and Doom 3 is one of my favourite FPS games of all time.
Neverwinter Nights
I remember waiting for the game. I remember counting the days until each expansion was released. I remember traveling through the Forgotten Realms along with my wolf Shogun... For me it's still one of the best cRPGs ever. Although it's almost a decade old, I still like to fiddle with the Aurora toolset. I hope to create a similar piece of software in future :)
Fallout
The gloomy world of Fallout is something hard to forget or ignore. Inspired by Mad Max and Wasteland, Fallout became an inspiration to me and countless others. The freedom of choice given in the first two games and the ruins of Washington are on top of my list of things I'd like to recreate in games I make.
Final Fantasy
I admit I haven't played every game in the series. I'm working on it :) However I did finish Final Fantasy VIII at least 4 times. Every game in the series is a masterpiece. I can't imagine gaming without it.
Command & Conquer
The thing that I like in the whole franchise best is music by Frank Klepacki. The conflict between GDI and NOD wouldn't be the same without it. And without Hellmarch the world would be a poorer place :P
